Editor. fothrinsimnynan.. ov,, 1 by member available for discussions To Ihe Editor, With all the road work around the Administration Buidlingand roads leading in every direction, one has to wonder what it's really going to look like when everything is all compelte. It's like one of those puzzles they have in the paper once in a while, where you start in at one point and if you take the right route, without coming to a dead end, you'll make it to the Administration Building. Well, with all the traffic conjestion as it was and sometimes still is, something had to be done. The streets were so narrow that people couldn't get around. What there really needs to be at the Building is a drive-up win dow for all the people who don't like to walk from the parking lot to do business...Right Georgc. That's what they say in the funnies, so I just had to throw it in. Well, things should look pretty good whenever they finish the project. tttt You know autumn is moving in when you see all the leaves turn bright red out in the forest. A real pretty sight, but the air is a bit more chilly in the mornings. Almost time to start up the furnace to heat up the house. There has been a lot of activity in the woods lately, with people cutting wood for the winter. That can turn out to be quite a job, especially if a person is not in top shape for physical activity like cutting wood. Oh, my aching back! Some time people wonder if it's worth it to do all that work rather than just go out and buy the wood. It all works out though when the snow comes and you enjoy the warmth of the fire after all that hard work. nn ntt Lotdfj, Lofty, Lotdy look ivho 's tttnin$ 40! Again, this year I will be holding "office hours" each week in Warm Springs. The Tribal Admin istration has made conference room H2 in the Tribal Administration Building available to me each Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The first visit was yesterday (September 13th) and I will be there each Wednesday throughout the school year. I would appreciate whatever notice or announcement you can print in the Spilyay Tymoo. Kate Jackson To the Editor, I am writing to share a poem and dedicating it to all the younger people who feel troubled or, who, at times, feel weak about them selves. I, at one time, tried suicide in my :ife. I know what the feeling is like in that crisis but God didn't take me. I was given a chance in life. I want other people to know that there arc people out there who really care. A brother in prison shared with with me. That's where I am as of now. but I just wanted this to be printed. It is from someone who cares. Sincerely, Clifford R.Arthur 2195 A -3 Pendleton, OR 97801 When pressures surround you, and you see no end in sight: Know that if you don V give in, things will be all right.
