First of all the tournament just wouldn't be such a success if it wer en't for people like Cougar, Norene, Satch, Anna, Rudy. Margie, San dra, Carolyn and the scorekeepers w ho were willing to sit through the tournament. Cougar didn't have to do too many corrections, but he did make some corrections to keep the bowlers from sandbagging their averages. Second for the use of the Bowling Alley and their cooperation I thank Jim. Tim, Connie and the rest of the Pelton Lanes staff who spent Christmas weekend at the lanes. The bowling tournament was moved up a week in order that the committee and bowlers just wouldn't have to decide on which event to take part in basketball games or bowling! I do hope that this didn't offend anyone and so far I haven't heard of any complaints. The only ones I could think of now is that advertising might not have caught up to all of the hearty bowlers who travel to get into this tournament. It's my fault. Surprising as it seems we had people biting at the bit, money in hand and rip roaring and ready to bowl. Just off from the top of my head I'd like to congratulate some of the winners. John Wright for winning the Masters event then coming back Sunday to win the Holiday champ Roll-Off! Then while in the process he and Sandra Greene defended the mixed doubles title for the second year in a row. A few others who grunted, groaned and won were the likes of my pardner Jeff Sanders in the Division II Hol iday champ roll-off, another pair that humbly won their divisions in the Masters and holiday champ roll-off were Norene Greene and Sandra Greene in winning the Mas ters and holiday champ roll-off. We even had to turn down Fox in the mixed doubles for lack of a women bowler. Better luck next time. The final results should be ready by the next issue. Thanks again, Jerry Sampson Wellness puzzle answers given Here are the answers to the crossword puzzle sponsored by the National Safety Council and published in the last issue of the Spilyay.
