Elston for putting in a plug for us, and Thanks to Charlotte and Anita, and Shir ley and her kitchen staff for doing their special Sun dances. It was kind of unbelievcablc the way one very good day was squeezed in between all of those cold, rainy djys to accomodate a special out door activity for our youth. The (ireat Spirit was truly kind to Cen tral Oregon. He showed that some body up there likes us. The Jambo ree Day activities were held at the Warm Springs Community Center grounds on Saturday, March 7th. Overall attendance has been esti mated at 500 people. Many partic ipants indicated satisfaction with the program, and there is much interest in having this activity regu larly scheduled as an annual event. There are many, many people in Warm Springs. Also, we need to mention that Trish Tanewasha is a special, lit tleBig hero. She was still in the Hot air balloon basket waiting to get off from her flight when a sud den gust of wind came along, and almost took her and the balloon for an unscheduled flight. Trish is a very brave little kid. The fast action of a lot of people in grabbing and holding onto the balloon anchor ropes really saved the day. The bal loon is the biggest hot air balloon in Oregon. Again, we of the Recreation Dept. thank everyone for their help and participation, especially the kids. We will be looking forward to con ducting this event again sometime next year. This years first try was a learning experience for us. Sincerely, Elton Greeley, Director Warm Springs Recreation Dept. Court Notices Richard Macy dbi Burfer Inn VS Duane H.
