My son. Wesley D.J. Scott, who played for the California Condors, and won one of the all-tourney trophies was very impressed with the hospitality, kindness, and sports manship and your community. My parents. Frank and Anita Murdock and I lived in your com munity from 1933 to 1940. My sis ter, Jean, was born there. My father played basketball for the CCC team, and coached a boys basketball team while he was a boys advisor in the late 30's. Perhaps Emil or Lyle Rhoan, or Zane Jackson remember them. I wonder if anybody found a red and white tournament jacket with Yakima BB, 1986 on it? Joe Holt, of the California Condors, lost it somewhere up there. I would like to Ret some news paper clippings or write ups about the Warm Springs basketball tour nament, the attending teams, and the all-tourneys choices because I would like to put the write-ups in the local newspapers here in this area. I would like to thank Caroline Tohet for CBUSGS ' To the Editor, "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb."(Rev. 22:1). This letter is to all people and it concerns your life or your death. I had a dream about a small river. In it were eels and trout. The trout were trying to swim upstream, but the eels were eating on them and killing them. As I looked about, I tried to help the fish swim, but there was something strange about the water, it was dying as were the eels and fish. Leviticus 1 1 :9 "These shall ye eat of all that are in the water: what soever hath fins and scales, them shall ye eat. (The trout). And all that have not fins and scales and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomina tion unto you." (Eels). Now, understand that I'm not hitting on what people eat, but it's the nature of these two living crea tures that I'm trying to get at. The nature of the eels is to live in the bottom of the river, sea, in the mud, mire, sand, etc. and to eat off of fish, sucking the life and blood out of them. The trout is a clean fish, being as Christians are to be, living in clean water. This dream really disturbs me. Take a deep look at yourself. Are you living for God as you should be? Holy, just? Or are you an eel? Living off of what others say? Doing what man says and not what God says. Are you cold, lukewarm, in and out of church, backsliding, pretending to be something you are not. Come on now, I'm talking to you Christian folks. Are you still in the mud and more of sin, alcohol and drugs, etc? Could this dying water Powwow princesses selling tickets Lincoln's Birthday Powwowquccn candidates are selling tickets which can be used to win numerous raffle items. Man, I'm tired of manmade riv ers, I'm tired of manmade churches where the message is smooth, no conviction of sin, no hard preach ing, no joy, no life, no word. Some one please let the man of God speak, thus saith the Lord! This is a call to holiness. Come on you preachers, rise up, this is not time to be moving, sitting down or wha tever. God gave you something, use it or lose it! We have to get back to the "River of Life" because our people are dying and we as Chris tians aren't helping them with our divisions, without doctrinal differ ences, being stuck up and staying in our little four cornered churches. But god has said to be witnesses to the uttermost parts of the world. For you people who are non Christians, I have a boss who is a Jewish carpenter. He went fishing, walked and talked with people and cared and loved them. My boss healed the sick, raised the dead, opened blind eyes, made the lame to walk, cured alcoholism, drug abuse, worries, child abuse, every thing. His name is Jesus the Christ. Like I said in the beginning of this letter, it's your life or death. Jesus is the life. Satin is death. You're either serving God or the devil. It's heaven or hell. Your life is eternal after you die, the choice is yours to make. One last scripture before I close. I was reading this one while I was in jail at Rocky Butte for the last time, which was five years ago. I'm still walking for the Lord and so can you. "Come unto me, all ye that Labor and are heavy laden, and I will give vnu rest. Take mv voke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: Ye shall find rest unto your souis. i-or my yoKc is easy and my burden is light" (Mt. 1 1:28) Dont judge by what people do in the church world but look to Jesus the "River of Life." In closing, I would like to invite all who read this letter to come to the Warm Springs Full Gospel Church to hear more of the miracle working man, the River of Life, because we are going back to our first love.
