If you can’t— your to be pitied. It’s your turn to take care of your parents. Seeing that they’re well cared for and happy. See if they need something done. Give them things out of love, give of yourself or just because. . . . We never really appreciate oftr dear mom4 and and dad until they’re gone. Then we think of all the things we should have done for them or said to them. D o n ’t wait. Tell them now. Do something for them today. Stick game tournament May 10-12 The 4th A nnual Spring Stick Game T ournam ent at White Swan, W ashington is scheduled fo r May 10, 11 and 12. Held at the White Swan Pavil lion play begins Friday with open games, pre-registration and W a-luk-sha. Saturday the tour nam ent begins at 12:00 nopn. Open games are scheduled through out the day. Run to raise money planned Thè A lternate Ways to Elim inate Poverty (AW TEP) com mittee will sponsor a relay run Saturday, May 18. The run will- have two starting points; one at W arm Springs ; in the pa rking lot at M acy’s store and the other starting in Sun River. The event will start 6 a.m. and finish at the Deschutes County fairgrounds between 3 and 4 p.m. Pledges,are being taken on the 100 mile run. People inter ested in giving pledges can call 475-228,4. Woll will clas sify each ¿runner as only those classified as professional runners will run the route on the main highways. Others will run in designated areas. The run is being held to raise needed money for a'num ber of social/service organizations in the Central Oregon area. The AW TEP com mittee has set a goal of raising $200,000 to assist social services.
