The dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. àt the Agency Longhouse. Cost will be $2.50 per person or $10 per family. Following is their report on meeting activities. The W orld’s Greatest Chefs have been meeting two times a month. We made cookies, muf fins, hot chocolate, popcorn balls and no-bake cookies. We also helped the Easter Bunny. We colored eggs at our last meeting. We have been learning about different food groups. We really ehjby cooking. : Our leaders are Arlene Gra ham and Delores Kinsey. Pictured (left to right) are Thane Colwash, head fisherman Bruce Jim and Olin Charley. This year’s Columbia River spring chinook run appears to be arriving very early and with more strength than predicted. A s of A pril 8, 10,500 chinook had passed Bonneville Dam. This com pared to only 3,526 chinook passing by that date in 1983. The earlier run was evident by the success o f the R o o t Feast fishery. In the two days of fishing 123 spring chinook were harv ested fo r distribution to the R o o t Feasts. The excess fish is being ytored in the tribal freezer fo r future ceremonies.
