There have been trying times in the past and we know not all of you have appreciated our courses of action, but we want you all to know we have not played favorites or tried to cover-up any actions; we have tried to be fair and completely impartial, and still fulfill the reason we were here for. We a p p re c ia te y o u r cooperation and thank you for your support. We hope for the best for the Warm Springs Confederated Tribes and the Burns-Paiute people and if either of us can ever be of any assistance, please give us a call at the B.I.A. office in Everett, Washington or our home in Marysville, Washington. As you know, we are always willing to assist. It is our hope that more Tribal members will take an interest in the law enforcement program s and the court systems of the Tribes and not allow “white-man” law to become the dominant feature of these programs, but that the Tribal people will fight to keep the uniqueness of your ideals, ways, and your customs of fairness to your people. In Warm Springs, Chief of Police Jeff Sanders is well qualified to lead the police departm ent. He is know ledgeable and is concerned for his people and the Tribal programs.
