Boys Results The Warm Springs Teen Boys celebrated as champs by being the only remaining u n d e fe a te d team in the tournament. The team’s three- game winning streak began with an uncontested win over Chiloquin, 68-34. The 4-H Warchiefs gave the Teen Club, as well as the fans, an exciting and close second game. Scoring was fairly matched, with the Warchiefs playing catch-up at times. With only seconds remaining in the game, the Warchiefs were down by one basket, and had a chance to put the game into overtime. A perfectly thrown, fu ll-co u rt, inbounds pass resulted in a missed lay-up and follow-up shot, giving due satisfaction to the host team, 62-60. Nespelem gave the Teen Boys a good championship game, despite Nespelem’s small numbers. Final minute action resulted in three visiting players fouling out, leaving three players to make up a minimal scoring deficit. The final score was Nespelem-64, and WSCC- 72. Teen Boys all-stars were, David Crow and A1 Estimo, Warchiefs; Jerome Davis, Tim Kneeland, and James Scott, Teen Club; and Ferland Ray, JOJO Ramus Travis Heart, an d T h o m as D itte n h a ll. Hall ended in fourth place. Local all-stars were Lorraine Suppah, Lana Shike, Kimiko Danzuka, and Deanie Johnson. Laurie Case, Pam Eschief, Kelly Burke, Babette Cowapoo, Julie Taylor and Lanette Dixie completed the all-star team. Lanette Dixie was also named Miss Hustle. The girls teen tourney Most Valuable Player was Kelly Burke from Pendleton. Sportsmanship honors were earned by the Ft. Hall team.
