BMX draws young bicyclists
Local softball team
comes close to winning
• Three teams from Warm
Springs entered the soft ball
tournament held at Chemawa
during the May pow-wow days
held on the 15, 16 and 17th,

teams and one girls team who
participated there. The Warm

champions. The W.S.F.P.I.
Chiefs beat the Tahola Stars in
the first game 14-3, then lost
their second game 12-3 to
Pendelton, in the third game
they beat Chemawa 8-5.
In the fourth game they beat
Tahola 6-5. In the fifth game
they beat N isqually 6-4.
It was a long way back, but
our players toughteiied up on
defense and got the hits when
we needed them said team

performance, “This is the first
year we have played together as
a team. In the past we played on
separate teams.”
