The Repertory Dance Com pany includes fifteen dancers and will be assisted by a 13-piece "hamber orchestra. Carl Gilmer is Music Director of the Com pany, with Kenneth Mallor as Assistant Music Director and principal pianist. The orchestra will be conducted by Judith Burgstahler. Costumes are de signed by Melinda Berman and sets by sculptor Timothy Barnes. The group will perform at the Community Center begin ning at 8:00 p.m” and there will also be a special afternoon performance for Kids at 1:00 p.m. that same Tuesday. Admis sion will be $1.00 for adults, .75 cents for students and .50 cents for children. BITS AND PIECES Tribal Administration - Dur ing the later part of July and the first part of August the General Manager along with the branch managers have been reviewing the ’79 budgets with all the supervisors. From the latest reports everything turned out just fine. The next step is to put the entire budge* together for the Tribal Council’s review dur ing the later part of August and the earlier part of September. Wasco County Fair at Tygh Valley, 30 miles south of The Dalles, will be held August 24 - 25 - 26. A Premium for all Indian bead work and Indian handicraft is available at the Extension office and at other outlets. There will be a Tepee en- campment on the grounds, and it was reported that there will be no vehicles allowed in the Tepee areas except for unloading and loading the camp. To be eligible for compen sation, Indians in parade should be in full regalia for either walking or riding horseback. Any mounted Indian Prin cess riding in the Grand Entry Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon will receive an award of $25. She must be dressed in full Indian Regalia and be regi stered at the Fair Office by Saurday 6 p.m. A committee, appointed by the Fair Board will select a Princess. Kids day has been designat ed for August 24th with special entertainment and prizes such as tickets to Carnival rides and other prizes as decided by the Fair Board. There will be Indian horse races each day subject to participation. Warm Springs Housing Au thority reports that there are tenants reviving their lawns despite the shortage of water at this time of the year. The water situation usually is a problem. The Housing Authority reports that another new home has been occupied by Vernon Spino and] his family near Simnasho. The Community Center has had its hands full all summer long with various projects and other activités. At the present] time staff members are on annual leave leaving the work force short handed. Huckleberry Feast Sunday The annual Huckleberry Feast is Sunday, August 13 at the HeHe Longhouse. There will be worship ser vices in the morning, followed by dinner in the afternoon. Howlak Tichum— Fernando Hinojfa Zamora Fernando Hinojfa Zamora, born January 5, 1923 in Coos Bay, Oregon passed away July 31, 1978 in Madras, Oregon. He was married to Leola Suppah in Reno, Nevada. She is a Tribal member. Surviving him are his wife Leola, four daughters and one son, Camilla Cundell, Mike Za mora both of Madras, Diane Warren, Alice Wimbush, of Bend, Oregon and Josie Montiel of Spokane, Washington. Also surviving are three brothers and five sisters. Other survivors include six grandchildren. Dressing ceremonies were held at Madras Evergreen Chapel August 1, 1978 at 3:00 p.m. with Delia LeClaire and T.J. Suppah officiating. A Ros ary was held the same day (August 1) at the Madras Ever green Chapel with Monsignor Matthew Crotty officiating. Mass was at the St. Pat rick’s Catholic Church in Mad ras Wednesday August 2, with Monsignor Matthew Crotty pre siding. Tribal and overnight ser vices were held at the Warm Springs Longhouse August 2 with the Seven Drum Religion officiating.
