The drills and batting prac tice have been intense but the boys shine through it all, and are very anxious to average the loss they suffered. The eleven members of the team are all about equal in Sign Now For Summer Camps Thank You HUPA ALL INDIAN RODEO SET The Hupa All Indian Rodeo has been set for July 2 and 3 in Hupa, California. The rodeo is an annual event sponsored by the Hupa Indian Rodeo Associ ation. The eight standard events will be- fcatureUr They include : Bullriding, Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc, Girls Barrel Rac ing, Team Roping, Wild Cow Milking, Calf Roping, and Bull Dogging. Entry fee is $25 except in Team Roping which is $60 a team. A purse of $250 will be added in each standard event /A ll contestants jn u st.b e a Western States Indian Rodeo JACKPOT RODEO A jackpot rodeo will be held at the Warm Springs rodeo arena Sunday, June 18, at 1 p.m. Stock contractors Butch Hurtado and Earl Squiemphen were going to hold practice one day when they decided that they might as well make it into a jackpot so the cowboys can get money just for practicing. Entry fee is $20 for all events. Enter and pay your fee when you get to the arena. The events will include saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping, and team roping. HATCHERY DEDICATION SET Dedication of the Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery has been scheduled for August 26. Plans are now being made and finalized by the dedication committee headed up by Nelson Wallulatum. Congressman A1 Ullman has been chosen as the principal speaker at the ceremony. Ull man was instrumental in setting up funding for the hatchery and is familiar with Indian affairs. Lunch will be served to the approximately 800 people ex pected and Indian dancing will take place. «4 Wilson Wewa, Jr. shuffled crowds and announcements as emcee of this year’s Inter-tribal Powwow at Delta Park, Portland June 10-11.
