Hall); 3rd — Jim Selam Announcement CHRISTMAS TREE CUTTING To all Warm Springs Agen cy, Warm Springs Public Heal th, Warm Springs Public School Employees, Warm Springs School Classrooms, Warm Springs Churches and residents living at Kah-Nee-Ta employee housing units. From Clayton C. Earl, Act ing Superintendant. Subject: Christmas Tree Cutting by Employees during 1976. The Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Indian Res ervation, in keeping with the spirit of Christmas, have con sented to the cutting of Christ mas trees by above addressed employees. Cutting is limited to one tree per family and on tribal lands only. Trees should be cut away from the main road and close to the ground. All live branches should be removed from the stump. Topping of trees and cutting trees larger than 12 feet in height is not permitted. Trees should not be cut that do not have another tree growing within 12 feet of the tree to be cut. Cutting is not permitted in areas where tree thinning has been per formed. Information on tribal land location and road condi tions may be obtained from the Branch of Forestry. (Satus). Photo by Cynthia Stowell Twelve men and women learned the Hustle and basic disco dance movements at the Community Center’s first dance class Tuesday evening, Dec ember 7. Eva Montee knew the California brand of the Hustle and Bonnie Souers. was ac quainted with Portland’s ver sion, so they combined the styles and presented what one day might become known as the Warm Springs Hustle. People seemed to have a lot of ‘fun at this first lesson in a series of four. The Bump will be taught at the next class on December 14 and later classes will feature the Swing, bopping and a final review. So put your blue suede shoes, or whatever they’re wearing at disco’s these days, and bop on down to Conference Room II at the Community Center Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for an hour-long work-out.
