Bina, 86, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. W. Lovcik, 3275 Liberty Rd., Thursday night. . Mrs. Bina was born April 9, 1871, in Winneshiek County, Iowa. As a youngster she traveled from Iowa in the spring of 1880 to the Dakota territory with her tamny They were the first settlers ir Vcslcyvillc, N.D. In November, 1888, Mary Sedivy was married to Joseph Bina in Vcslcyvillc. Her husband died in Dsccmbor, 1027, in North Dakota. Mrs. Bina was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Mon ica's Altar Society and an asso ciate member of the Legion of i Mary. Surviving arc a son. Joseph L. Bina, Conway, N.D.: three daugh ters, Mrs. Lovcik of Salem, Mrs. Mary Berg, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Peter Focrstcr, Conway, N.D.; 23 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. Recitation of the rosary will be at the W. T. Rigdon Chapel Fri day at 8:15 p.m. and services will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Saturday morning at 9. Shipment is to be macd to Qrafton, N.O., where there will be another serv ice and interment. Alexander INDEPENDENCE (Special) - Lester Irvin Alexander, 53, Inde pendence, died Wednesday morn ing en route to an Independence clinic. He was working on an automo bile at the service station he and his wife operate when his wife noticed he was getting short of brcathi She immediately phoned the clinic and hurried him into an automobile but when she ar rived at the clinic, only two blocks away, he was pronounced dead, ap parently from a heart attacK. Alexander had lived in Inde pendence for the past 18 years and was a resident of 291 Grand St. He was born at Weir, Kan., April 20. 1903. He has operated the Hancock Service Station for the past three years and before that he had an automobile repair shop. Surviving are his wife, Lorine Alexander, Independence; six daughters, Mrs. Dclorcs Dorgan, Scotts Mills; Mrs. Freda Forakcr, Dover, Del.; Mrs. Lavada Tedish, Albany; Mrs. Mary Jones, Sa lem; Mrs. Grace Brown, The Dalles; and Mrs. Nancy Myers, Monmouth; one son. James Alex andcr.
