'f LKBANON (Special) The mar riage of Miss Caralin Scars to Nel son Ames was solemnized in a setting of spring flowers and candlelight Sunday afternoon at the Church ot God. The Rev. Wil liam 10. Elder read the double ring service. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merle B. Scars and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Kvcrett Ames. Both families are of Lebanon. Given in marriage by her lath er, the bride wore nylon net over white taffeta with mother-of pcarl trimmed lace neckline. The linger lip veil of tulle was fastened with a small lace cap trimmed with se quins. She carried white carna tions and pink rosebuds tied with while ribbons. Miss Madalin Scars was maid of honor for her sister. She wore white nylon over pink taffeta and carried a nosegay bouquet of pink carnations. Arland Kceton was best man. Ushers were Leslie and Lowell Uf ford, uncles of the bride. Miss Ima Jean Chism, wearing white net over white taffeta with pink wristlet corsage, lighted the candles. The wedding music was played by Miss Carol Adkins. At the reception after the cere mony, Mrs. Nellie Sears and Mrs. Clint Ufford, both grandmothers of the bride, poured. Mrs. Aaron Schalk and Mrs. Irvin Stocring, aunts of the bride, cut the cake. Miss Cloe Ames, sister of the bridegroom, had the guest book and Miss Janet Stocring, cousin of the bride, was in charge of the gifts.' For her wedding trip to the coast, the bride wore a tweed suit with pink carnation corsage. The couple is at home at 17014 East Oak street. College Ball Set For Friday Night MOUNT ANGEL (SpeciaD "Holland Holiday" will be the theme in decorations when the students of Mount Angel Women's college stage their annual spring formal dance at the college, this Friday evening. Dutch shoes and beds of tulips will line walls in the ballroom to carry out the dance theme and the bids also bore appropriate symbols. A queen to reign over the "Hol land Holiday" festivities will be chosen during the intermission. Five princesses have been selected by the collegians for this honor. Princesses are Miss Carol Eder, Gervais; Miss Helen Kohlcr, Ta coma, Wash.; Miss Margaret Bcr gin, San Ansclmo, Calif.; Miss Pat Hosteller, Canby; and Miss Marianne Henry, I.apwni, Idaho. Slubby Mills and his orchestra will provide the music for the dance. Committee chairmen are Misses Rose Marie Fcnnimore, Ida Sing ler, Carol Wachter, Agnes Pock, and Julie Itostvold. Miss Sandra Bounds of Ordnance is general chairman. LINCOLN (Special) - Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Williams have had as their guesls for the past two weeks, their son-in-law and daughter, Lt. and Mrs. Russel Bronson, and baby Jennifer. The visitors left Tuesday for Fort Ord, Calif, where Lt. Bronson has been transferred from Fort Bcnning, Ga. A family dinner of the Williams clan was given in compliment to the Bronsons at the Salem home of Mrs. Bronson's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Sid Sher man.
