Initiation for
Junior CDAs
MOUNT ANGEL (Speeial)-For-mal
initiation ceremonies (or il
provisional members of the Junior
Catholic Daughters of America of
Court Marion No. 718, Mount An
gel, were conducted Sunday after
noon in the St. Mary's school, be
ginning at J o'clock.
The lOrmal closing ceremony
with benediction was in the St.
hary'i church following the Ini
tiation program. The Rev. Edward
Spear, O.S.B., court chaplain, oifi
. ciated at the services and present
ed the junior emblems to the new
members. The junior counselors
and council members and the new
juniors participated in the dedi
cation ceremonies.
Presiding at the initiation cere
monies were the junior court offi
cers, Misses Jerri Gooding, presi
dent; Kathy Blem, vice-president;
Maureen Fischer, secretary; Patti
Aman, reporter; assisted by Judy
Wachter, organist; Rita Zollner,
monitor; Kathy Gaffke, Betty
Geek, Diane Bourbonnais, Ger
trude Huber, Jean Ebner, Kathy
Ebner, Charlene Fisher, Carol Er
pelding, Barbara Bockelman,
Joyce Kimlinger, Agnes Purdy,
Shirley Schlccht, Laura Ann Kloft,
Suzane Hoffer, and Toni Williams.

for which the senior court of the
Catholic Daughters entertained.

Former Marion Man
Weds in Montreal
SUBLIMITY (Special) - Of
Interest to his many relatives and
friends here was a recent wedding
in Montreal, Canada. Miss Rose-
line Saunal, Tillamook and Stanley
Russell, Tillamook were united in
marriage at a nuptial mass at
8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual
Help Catholic church in Montreal
on Saturday, February 9.
The bride is the daughter of the
late Pierre Sunal and Madame
Pierre Sunal of Paris now living
in Montreal. The bridegroom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Russell, Sr., of Marion and a
brother of Gene Russell of Sublimity.
Original plans for the wedding
In Paris were changed due to the
uncertain conditions in that coun
try. A European tour will be taken
later to include a visit to the
bride's former home and with
her two brothers in Paris.
The newlyweds will reside at
Tillamook where the bridegroom
Is employed in the office of the
Pacific Power and Light Company.

birthday party was given recently
at the home of Mrs. Bill Lohse
in honor of Cora Baker, Pauline
Boatwright and Ann Lohse, whose
birthdays were m February.
