Also aboard the vessel are Mr. and Mrs. John Crockatt, ' Salem, the Johnstons' ' daughter and son-in-law, and Harry Jacob ' ton, Salem. The Crockatts and Jacobson will return here after : the ship arrives in San Francisco. Crockett and Jacobson aided ;J;3ohnston in the construction of ; the 36-loot craft "Tho Juego." :f 'Pump' Nhs $225 - About $225 was collected for the i March of Dimes by Salem fire fighters who held their annual ;"pump for polio" project at ' downtown Salem service station Sunday. - The city firemen pumped gas, ;,'. washed and lubricated cars at the '-. Master Service station at Liberty and Marion streets with all profits going to the March of Dimes. Firemen's wives also participat ed, raising about $50 from a con fession booth which they operated. Many city firemen, including Chief Robert Mills, participated in the event. Brody, associate professor of psychology at Oregon College of Education, will serve as moderator of a panel discussion on "Living Willi Your Teenager" at 8 o'clock Thursday night at Les lie junior high school. Cets Scholarship A South Salem high school stu dent has been named to partici pate in the work-college scholar ship program of the U. S. National Dank of Portland. Edgar Bertram Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Martin, 2520 Skopil Ave., will participate in the program. Rex Martin, man ager of the I. add and Bush branch of the bank, has announced, Martin is to receive a $1,000 scholarship and a guaranteed position with the bank after grad uation, Gibson said. New Indian Tribal Dances To Feature Chemawa Party Apache Devil dance and - the Horsetail Dance are new Indian tribal dances which will be given in treasured tribal costumes at the 77th annual birthday party of Che mawa Indian school, February 25 and 20 at the school. The pageant presented by the students of the Indian school, who come from north and southwest In dian tribes, will be open to the public. Tickets are on sale at Stevens Jewelry store.
