Y-Wives Style Show on Wednesday New spring fashions for teen-agers to adults will be featured at the benefit style show planned by Y-Wives organization next Wednesday night in the YWCA gymnasium. The show is set for 8 o'clock. Joan Ross school of charm and modeling is supplying the models for the fashion revue. Mrs. William C. Dyer. Jr., is to be commentator. Spe cial music will be presented ny Miss Phyllis Dan nelly, vocalist. Fashions will be shown from Lip man's. Proceeds from tiie show will go toward finishing the stage at the YW gymnasium, a project of the Y-Wives. Tickets for the show may be bought at the YWCA, at Stevens and Son, or at Lipman's. The Rev. Wayne A. Greene, pastor of the church, and Mrs. Greene will present the pro gram. Mrs. Greene will conduct the devotions and the pastor will speak on the subject, "Among My Souvenirs." Mrs. Sidney A. VanDyke of the First Christian church will speak on the work of the United Church Women during the program arranged by Mrs. Jason Lee. Guests from other churches will participate in the program to stress the inter-church relationships among the women. Mrs. C. E. Jaqua of St. Mark's Lutheran church will give the devotional program, Mrs. Donald Miner of the Court Street Christian church will make the offertory prayer, and Mrs. Roy M. Republican Clubs' A visit to the legislature, a luncheon and a tea are all on the agenda for the traditional "legis lative day" for Oregon Republican Women's Fed eration in the capital next Tuesday, February 19, with the Salem club hosting the event. Women from all parts of Oregon arc expected to be here for the day. Visiting members are asked to go directly to the Capitol, the women to be in their scats before 9:30 a.m. when the legislature meets. It is suggest cd that visitors park on North Summer street, this street approaching the Capitol mall, because parking is very congested nearer the capitol build ing during legislative sessions. Hostesses for the day will be officers of the Salem club, who will be on hand at the capitol building to welcome and direct visitors from 9 a.m. on, and who will distribute courtesy cards to visitors for street parking m Salem for that day. Pouring for the tea will be visiting presidents of the 30 Oregon units of the federation, represent ing a membership of more than 3600 Republican Schmidt-Schmerber Wedding Saturday St. Louis Catholic church at St. Louis was the scene of a wedding this morning when Miss Rosalie Louise Schmcrber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schmcrber, Gervais, was married lo Wil liam F. Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Schmidt of Mount Angel. Pink and white carna tions and white stock with greenery decorated the church lor Ihc 10 o'clock rites at which the Rev. Guntram Schcffold officiated. Bernard Smith was soloist, Mrs. Frank Saal fold the organist. The bride wore a full length lace and nylon tulle over satin dress. The bodice was of lace, fashioned with a Sabrina neckline and long sleeves. The skirt was very bouffant with points of lace extending into it. The veil was fingertip length. The bride carried a cascade arrangement of pink orchids with white feathered carnations. Mr. Schmcrber escorted his daughter to .the altar. Miss Mary Manion was honor attendant, wear ing a rose colored crystalctte in plain and bro caded material. Her flowers were pink anthuriumj and carnations. Miss Joann Michels of Mount Angel was brides maid and Miss Mary Schmcrber, sister of the bride, junior bridesmaid. Both wore dresses styled like that of the maid of honor but in turquoise. They also carried the anthuriums and carnations In cascade arrangement. ' Barbara Schmcrber, sister of the bride, and Janice Schmidt, sister of the bridegroom, were flower girls. They wore pink frocks. David Schmcrber was ring bearer. Alan Schmidt was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Charles Hoffcr and Steve Len zcr, and the ushers were Loren Free and Kenneth Berchtold. . The bride's mother wore a cerise dress with matching hat, navy accessories and corsage of white orchids. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy blue suit with white hat and white orchids. The reception following Ihc service was in the parish hall. Mrs. Sylvester Schmidt, godmother of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Claud Glennon, aunt of the bride, cut the cake. Pouring were Mrs. Clar ence Prcdeck, aunt of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Stanley Michalck. Assisling were Mrs. Cyril Schomus, Miss Carol Eder, Miss Judy Foltz, Miss Pat Schomus. Pink and while blooms and hearts in the centerpiece decorated the table. For traveling the bride wore a pink knit suit with navy blue coat, matching accessories, white hat and corsage of pink orchids. Following a trip to California the couple will be at home in Mount Angel. The West Salem Lions auxiliary will meet Mon day evening at the home of Mrs. Richard A. The change in time is made to enable all who wish to attend the Martha Washington lea to be given in the alternoon by the Woodburn Woman's cluh. Hugh Morrow, Salem city librarian, is tn be speaker for the Salem club meeting, his topic to be "American Heritage." Mrs. O. E.
