Anderson, who has served as pastor of the First Bap tist church for almost 11 years, will preach his two closing mes sages on Sunday, as he addresses his congregation both morning and evening. A reception to honor Rev. and Mrs, Anderson and their two child ren, Stanton and Elizabeth Ann, .will be held in the church parlors Sunday altcrnoon from 3 to 6, Friends are invited to the open house. Dr. Anderson, who during the years of his Salem ministry, has served as moderator of the Conser vative Baptist association of Ore gon, president of the Salem Minis terial association, western regional president of the Conservative Bap tist association of America, and trustee of the Western Baptist Theological seminary, will take up his m:w work as pastor of the Beth any Baptist church in West Covina, Calif., on March 1. The southern California church was begun four years ago and in addition to tho church ministry, sponsors a Chris tian day school of 300 pupils, the Bethany Christian school, housing grades one through eight. Before coming to Salem in 1946, the Rev. Anderson served as pas tor of the Calvary Baptist church of The Dalles, and previous to that at The First Baptist church, Burns. A five-man Pulpil committee has been selected by the local assem bly to present prospective leaders to the church body. BIBLE TRANSLATION 1-14 . Roger B. Swarcn, pastor. The panel will take charge of the youth fellowship service at 6:30 and discuss the relation be tween the Bible, and modern sci ence. Musicians from the group will lead the singing and present spe cial musical numbers at the 7:30 evening service.
