Founders Day Noted By Monmouth PTA MONMOUTH (Special) Founders Day was observed at the PTA Monday. The Rev. A civil defense film was shown and Matthew Thompson, coordinator for Monmouth told how important it is to be pre pared in case of an enemy attack, and conducted a question and answer period. Fred Zito, president, named a nominating committee of Mrs. C. L. Corley, Dora Scott and Mrs. Elmer Bork. They will report at the March meeting. MONMOUTH (Special) Mrs. Lester Colgan, secretary of the Polk Counly Council of PTA has announced a meeting of the or ganization on Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dallas senior high school. Terry Murray of the Dallas high school music departmentl will present the choral group and speakers will be Polk county judge Calvin Barnhart and coun ty juvenile officer, John Ellis. A question and answer period will follow their talks. Mrs. C. A. Fratzke, Independ ence, legislative chairman of the county Council, will report on legislation in the educational field now being considered in the I legislature. Airs. R. J. LeFors, Dallas, will preside at (he meeting. Mrs. Le Fors is the new president, follow ing the resignation of Mrs. Helen Stryker, Independence. Mrs. Dean Craven, Monmouth, was appointed vice-president. Mrs. W. Lee Snowden, Pedcc, was appointed treasurer upon the resignation of Mrs. A. D. Al- legier, Airlie.
