At his right, who finished second, is Dare Klicker of Whitman, Jim Hilchman of Willamette two inches. Loren Michclson of the winning Pioneers broke his own former record of 141 feet 9 inches in the discus with toss of 147 feet 7 inches. Klicker Wins Lows Del Klicker continued his mas tery over Dean Benson of Wil lamette in the low hurdles as the Whitman star skipped over the barriers in a record time of 23 8 Benson led up until the last two hurdles, but Klicker and Clarence Dukes passed him up when he lost hit step. The Willamette star held the former record of 24 1 set last year. Benson lied his record in the high hurdles with another 144 clocking although knocking over the seventh and tenth hurdles. He set the record last year and tied it in the Friday preliminaries. Edgar Parrott of Whitman easi ly outdistanced the field in set ting a new two-mile record. The smooth running whiz eclipsed the record o( 10:01.3 set by .lim Mac kenzie of Whitman in 1M2 with a time nl 9:58.8. Dale Hartman of the Bearcats was the only double winner as the iBearcal distance star took wins in the mile and 880 with times of 4:27.7 and 2:00.4. Hartman Winner Hartman won by only five yards over Lewis and Clark s Bob Mit chell in the mile as he put on a tremendous last lap, hut he had an easier time in the 880. His closest opponent, Lynn Rnti magoux of the Pioneers, was dis qualified for cutting in on Bob Miller of the Bearcats, but after threalening Hartman at the start of the final lap, he finished 12 yards behind in a wasted effort. Three pole-vaullers attempted to surpass the conference mark of 12 feet 1I4 inches, but all three missed at 13 feet. Larry Thompson of Willamette, Rich llinlz of Lin field and Bob Richmond of Pa cific were credited with vaults of 12 feet 4'i inches before missing.
