Surviving are his wife: three sisters, Mrs. Marie Wolsicffer, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Clara Woodruff. Charlotte. N.C., and Mrs. Pickett Summers, Hartford, N.C.; two brothers, Jack, Chester, Va., and K. Anthony, Danville, Va. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at the Mo lalla Chapel of Everhart and Kent with the Rv. Rex Jones officiat ing. Burial will be in Multnomah cemtery at Portland. Bertha Mingle Is Summoned Mrs. Bertha Mingle, who first came to Salem to live in 1942, died early Wednesday morning at 2230 Fairgrounds road, where she had lived with her daughter, Mabel H. Simon, for the past three years. ' She had been ill only a shor ttime. Born in Marselles, 111., Septem ber 1!). 1870, Mrs. Mingle moved from that state to Montana in 1897, and had lived in Montana until coming to Salem from Kalis pell in 1942. She was the widow of Frank B. Mingle, who died 23 years ago while the Mingles made their heme in Montana. Mrs. Mingle was a member of the Christian Science church. Surviving besides the daughter with whom she lived are another daughter, .Mrs. M. Winifred Forbes of Salem, two sons Charles A. Young of Spokane and Ross G. Young and Scott L. Young of Kal Ispell, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. C. J. (Hazel) Iseminger of Missoula, Mont.; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Announcement of funeral serv ices will be made later by the W. T. Rigdon chapel. Indictment Ousts Tutor SAN FRANCISCO l-The Board of Education last night suspended grade school teacher Lorraine Stakor and said it intends to dis miss her. The reasons given were her in dictment by a grand jury on charg es of receiving stolen goods and her admitted love affair with a prominent surgeon, Dr. Rodney ' Yoell. Her attorney Emmett Hagerty said he would fight the board's edict in Superior Court. Miss Stakcr's record as a teach er since 1945 has been called ex emplary by school administrators. The 46-ycar-old teacher was among five persons charged with receiving stolen goods. All said they were innocent. Funeral Held For Mrs. Wiensz SALT CREEK Mrs. Agnes Topper Wiensz died suddenly Fri day, and the funeral was Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 7, at the Salt Creek Baptist church with Bev. Robert Penner officiating. Inter ment was in the Salt Creek Cem tery. Surviving are the husband. Hen ry Wienz, and three small boys Kenneth, Glen and Karl; four sis ters .and two brothers. In an interview after the audition. Franklin said Diana had much promise as an artist and invited her to New York City to study under his personal supervision. Diana, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hrubetz. will complete her year's work at South Salem high school before going to the cast this summer. Along with her ballet study she also will bo tutored in carrying on her regular academic work.
