Ushers were Richard Blessing and William C. Light. The bride's mother wore a two piece rust colored dress with white trim and black and white acces sories. The bridegroom's mother was unable to attend the ceremony. A reception at the church follow ed the ceremony. Cutting the bride's cake was Mrs. Richard Blessing, cousin of the bride. Pink Upers and pink and white flowers decorated the bride's table, centered with a three tiered wed. ding cake. Chicken Sandwiches Green Asparagus with French Dressing and Romaine Coddled Oranse Apples CODDLED ORANGE APPLES Beverage Ingredients: 'i cup sugar. H cup water. 4 medium-sized apples, 2 teaspoons grated orange rind, 'a cup orange juice, 1 tablespoon 1 lemon juice. ' I Method: Put sugar and water in I a saucepan big enough for the four 'apples. Slir I he sugar and water i together over low heat until susar J dissolves; remove from heat. Core 'and peel each apnle one-third of the way down: place in syrup. Simmer, covered, until tender 20 to 30 minutes. Watch carefully so apples won't get mushy. Remove apples from saucepan. Add orance rind, oranze juice and lemon juice to syrup in saucepan: boil gently until reduced to a good consistency. j Pour syrup over apples, basting as fruit cools. Serve warm or chilled.
