Robert Dar rah, Silverton Woman's club pro gram chairman, presented Mrs. Robert Grew, of Salem, at the apeaker for the rejrular meetins at the First Christian church social rooms Monday. Mrs. Gresj. stressed tours of Norway in her ex tensive travel trips, and showed pictures of places of interest. Mrs. Hal Moe, welfare committee chairman of the tlard district fed eration, red a request that cash gifts for the Corvallis Children's; Farm borne be riven this season! instead of the individual wrapped presents at holiday time, as usual. From Mrs. Coble De Lespenasse. chairman of the Marion county board of federated clubs, asked that Jills be sent to the MacLaren school for boys at Woodbum. Mrs. Ronald Reed gave a report of the third district convention of Marion county clubs which she re cently attended as delegate. The room and table decorations were of fall flowers- attractively arranged) among an lighted tapers. Social and tea hostesses were Mrs. Carlton Hande. Sr.. Mrs. E. A. Teter. Mrs J. Larry Taylor. Mrs. George Anderson and Mrs. 0. A. Peters. The next meeting of the club is to be Monday. Decembr 12. in a i 30 supper for the families of the club members. Garden Club BUENA VlftA-Mri. Margaret 'otzen and Mrs. Elaine Vann from ! Margaret's Floral shop in Dallas. demonstrated corsage making at the meeting of the Woman's Gar den club Monday evening, at the Pythian hall. Twenty members and two guests were present. An invitation was read from La- bish Meadow Garden club to at tend their Christmas green show. Dtrtmber 10 and 11. the Ha; Green school. December IT, was the date set (or the "cooked foods sale," and Green's sale at the M. and F. store. All members are asked to help with the sale. A re port from the district meeting in Dallas, was read by the secretary. Members were asked to start small plants in small containers that can be placed on window sills, and bring to the December meeting, to be given to patients at the Nursing homes in Monmouth and Indepen dence.
