Entry Displayed
Mrs. W. B. Taylor of Salem was
one of the 62 women from 37 states
whose entry in the finals of the
National Cotton Bag Sewing con
test was on display in Chicago this
past week. Mrs. Taylor previously
had won first place at the Oregon
State Fair. The contest is spon
sored by the National Cotton coun
cil, the Textile Bag Manufactur
ers association and the Pfaff sew
ing machines.

Both young people were high

years of English language while in
classes there. They will return to
