A Navy spokesman who declined to be quoted by name identified the missing officer as Ens. D. J. Page of New York City. He said the young officer failed to return from a weekend liberty Monday, and a preliminary check of his financial records "indicates a discrepancy" in his accounts. The spokesman declined to state how much appeared to be missing, but said the dispursing officer had access to about 165,000 including about $70,000 in ready cash.
