"Shirt and tailored Workshop"
SILVERTON A crew of painters, mostly volunteer, take
time out for a snack at Trinity Lutheran church. They are paint
ing some of the rooms in the new addition to the church to be
used chiefly for Sunday school classes. Actual construction be
gan Mav 26, 1953, and is now at least 85 per cent complete.

manager. He stated that two
crews of boys collected over $25

method, and the Mothers March
will be taken care of by the
Young People's Sodality mem
bers.
The Legion Auxiliary will soi
led funds with a benefit auc
tion slated at their Feb. 9 meet
ing, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lacy

again donating a cake to be
decorated with money with two
prizes offered to the persons
guessing nearest .the amount
that will decorate the cake by

The speakers disclosed that
"for the past five years, every
year, the Salem and Silverton
areas have received for the care
of local polio patients, all money
sent in (one half of the intake
of dimes donation) and around
$18,000 from the national fund.
