Telephone company of
Lyons held its annual meeting
Tuesday evening, Jan. 19, at the
Mari-Linn school house.
Russell Wilson was re-elected
president and Phil Bell re-elected
secretary; Hugh Johnston and
Fred Rohwcin were elected di
rectors to replace James Lande
and George Hydegger.
It was also voted to assess each
telephone member a fee of $5 to
help defray the expense of the
new telephone building. It was
also voted to consolidate the
lines and have them adequately
repaired.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Downing
visited Thursday and Friday with
their daughter and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Carlcton at Fort
Rainier, Wash.
Mrs. Bert Lyons was called to
Salem Tuesday by the sudden
