of Holy Name of of Jesus and Mary, was dedicated in 1863.
Benediction of the cornerstone was held March 13, 1873, with
the Most Rev. Archbishop Blanchet officiating. On January
16, 1909, the Capital Journal announced that the paper would
receive contributions for an electric cross on the cupola to
cost between 17S and $200.

Out Angry Words

Stokowski had threatened that
if the sound-absorbing curtains

In the showdown, he wound up

ilton. City Council, deadlocked over
the election of mayor, worked
its way out of the dilemma yes
terday by electing two mayors.
Arthur Wilson of the People's par
ty will serve during 154 and Ar
thur Fiehrer of the Forward Ham
ilton will serve during 1M5.
The deadlock arose as result
of situation in which the People's
party had three council members,
the Forward Hamilton party tnree
members and then there was Her
bert Mich, elected as an Independ
ent. Vote, taken Monday were S-3-1
with Mich voting for himself. Yes
terday, however, the Forward
Hamilton member, broke party
lines and voted for Fiehrer to serve
during 1935. '

he was a candidate himself.

an order modifying the divorce
decree, handed down Dec. 15,
1053. in the case nf Parlrv Tew.

of their three children. As modi
fied the decree provides that
one of the three children be
given to custody of the defen
dint, the plaintiff pay $29 a
