Camp Fire Girls
To Give Mittens
Woodbum -The third annual
Christmaa council fire for the
Woodburo group of Blue Birds
and Camp Fire Girls was Fri
day night, Dec. 11, at the Wood
burn high school gymnasium
with a good attendance of rela
tives and Interested mend.
Co-chairman of the council
event were Mrs. Arthur Burt
and Mrs. Charles Byen.
Each grade of Blue Birds and
Camp Fire Girls presented the
Christmaa story in song ana
tableau, with Mi Barbara
Paulson at the piano.
About 73 pair of mitten
were brought by the children
to decorate the "Christmas Mit
ten Tree." The mittens will be
distributed to needy children
or sent overseas.

council of Camp Fire Girl.
Refreshments were served by
Mrs. Harry VanAndale. Mr.
Robert Ritter, and Mn. Walter
Taylor, assisted by the other

Davi Cavett, Mrs. Carl Leon
hart, Mrs. Lester Rosburg, Mr.
Edward Heiden and Mn. Har-i

Garden Club Meets
Brooki Mrs. Dollle Ramp
entertained the Brooks Garden
club at her home last week. A
no-host luncheon was served at
1 o'clock followed by a short
business meeting and Christmas
program.
Mrs. Opal Rasmussen read
about the advent of the lighted
Christmas tree to this country.
Other members gave readings,
and the group sang Christma
carols, Eva Conn playing the
accompaniment on the piano.
Mn. Ruth Jensen was in charge
of the gifts for the gift exchange.
Next meeting will be at the
home of Mn. Polly Johnson,
January 14. Those present were
Mesdame Frances Haba, Anna
Lchrman, Clarice Johnson and
Jean, Opal Rasmussen, Belle
Moritz, Ruth Jensen and Ra
mona, Marie Bosch, Bertha Mo
risky, Polly Johnson, Eva Conn,
Bertha Perlich, Nora Westling,
Nona Sidebottom, Anna Eggers
and the hostess.
