Lennie Irvine, cards; Mrs. Lloyd Wood, refreshment, courtesy officers and treat. A no-host dinner with the encampment 1 scheduled by L E A. for 6:30 p.m. Friday pre ceding meetings. Theta Rho club will meet for no-hoit dinner at 0:30 o'clock Thunday, December 17. The dinner will be followed by I Christmas party and gift ex change. Member also are re minded to bring donation for a box for a needy family. Lions Auxiliary South Salem Lions auxiliary is meeting on Wednesday eve ning at 8 o'clock at the home of Mn. Keyton-Lund Camp Fire Girls To Give Mittens Woodbum -The third annual Christmaa council fire for the Woodburo group of Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls was Fri day night, Dec. 11, at the Wood burn high school gymnasium with a good attendance of rela tives and Interested mend. Co-chairman of the council event were Mrs. Arthur Burt and Mrs. Charles Byen. Each grade of Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls presented the Christmaa story in song ana tableau, with Mi Barbara Paulson at the piano. About 73 pair of mitten were brought by the children to decorate the "Christmas Mit ten Tree." The mittens will be distributed to needy children or sent overseas. A special guest wa Mis Either Fuenning, executive di rector of the Willamette area council of Camp Fire Girl. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Harry VanAndale. Mr. Robert Ritter, and Mn. Walter Taylor, assisted by the other leaden present, Mn. Robert Hunt, Mn. Jess Fikan, Mrs. Davi Cavett, Mrs. Carl Leon hart, Mrs. Lester Rosburg, Mr. Edward Heiden and Mn. Har-i old Buchanan. Garden Club Meets Brooki Mrs. Dollle Ramp entertained the Brooks Garden club at her home last week. A no-host luncheon was served at 1 o'clock followed by a short business meeting and Christmas program. Mrs. Opal Rasmussen read about the advent of the lighted Christmas tree to this country. Other members gave readings, and the group sang Christma carols, Eva Conn playing the accompaniment on the piano. Mn. Ruth Jensen was in charge of the gifts for the gift exchange. Next meeting will be at the home of Mn. Polly Johnson, January 14.
