Mrs, Pfeifauf
Dies Saturday
111 for almost five yerai with
a heart ailment, Mrs. Hose
Pfeifauf died at her borne at
1391 Elm street, West Salem,
early Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Pfeifauf, who had liv
ed in Salem since 1925 and at
the home on Elm street for the
past 27 years, was born- In
Vienna. Austria, September
19. 1875. and in that city was
married to Simon Pfeifauf,
who preceded her in death In
1935.
The Pfeifaufs came to the
United States in the early
1900s and settled in St. Louis,
Mo. From that state they
moved to Idaho, where they
lived for about four years be
fore coming to Salem to make
their home. Pfeifauf was a
retired merchant.
Mrs. Pfeifauf was a member
of St Joseph's Catholic church
of the St Monica's Altar So
ciety and of the- West Salem
Womana Club.
Survivors Included w o
daughters, Mrs. -Teres Hanks
of Salem, who lived with ber
mother, and Mrs. C. E. Green
of Salem; a brother in Europe;
eight grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will
be Monday evening at 7:30
o'clock at the W. T Rigdon
chapel and services will be
held Tuesday, December 15, at
10 a.m. at St Joseph's Catho
lic Church. Interment is to
be In St Barbara cemetery
beside her husband.

services were held Monday,
Dec. , at 2 p.m. at the Stayton
Baptist Church for William
Moad Stinnett, age 48, who died
Thursday, Dec 3, at home, of a
heart attack.
Burial was at the Lone Oak
cemetery at Stayton.
Mr. Stinnett was born, Aug.
29. 1905 at Gillham, Ark.
Survivors are his wife Julia,
of West Stayton, two sons, Wil
liam of Scio, and Dall at home.
Three daughters, Fern, Billle
and Lucille all at home at West
Stayton, and one grandchild.
He is also survived by his
mother, Mrs. Van Stinnett,
three brothers, Roy and Sam of
Turner, and Henry of West
Stayton, two sisters, Margie
Neal of Turner and Irene Bax
ter of Watson, Oklahoma, two
half sisters, Anna Stinnett, of
Turner and Mae Smith of Mesa,
Aritona, and number of
nieces and neohewa.

Shepherd, ST, for many years
a resident of Gates, died in
Santlam Memorial hospital
Saturday, December 12.
Mrs. Shpeherd was born at
Marion, Or.., October 30, 1888.
She married Adam Shepherd
April IS, 1904. He preceded
her la death In 1951. Her only
brother died at Alturas, Calif,.
December 10.
Surviving are three eons.

Mrs. Mable Hampton, Flor
