Mrs. Pfeifauf, who had liv ed in Salem since 1925 and at the home on Elm street for the past 27 years, was born- In Vienna. Austria, September 19. 1875. and in that city was married to Simon Pfeifauf, who preceded her in death In 1935. The Pfeifaufs came to the United States in the early 1900s and settled in St. Louis, Mo. From that state they moved to Idaho, where they lived for about four years be fore coming to Salem to make their home. Pfeifauf was a retired merchant. Mrs. Pfeifauf was a member of St Joseph's Catholic church of the St Monica's Altar So ciety and of the- West Salem Womana Club.
