(AP Wirephoto) Test Finished By Brog Herd With an average of 402 pounds of butterfat and 10,773 pounds of milk, the 18-cow herd of registered Holstein-Friesians owned by Walter Brog, Salem, Ore., completed their last test year recently. The testing was carried on under the official Herd Im provement Registry program of The Holstein-Friesian Associa tion of America. Milking was done two times daily and testing was supervised by Oregon State college, in co operation with the national Hol stein headquarters. Whipping Barred in Colorado's Prison Denver, July 25 (TP) Use of the whip will no longer be al lowed in Colorado's prison, the state institution board has decid ed' The board met yesterday to consider the whipping of six con victs, five of whom last week took part in a prison riot and shot two guards. It outlawed the whip, but re fused to order charges against Warden Roy Best who ordered the harsh discipline.
