TheSlOth anniversary of the organizing of the chapter is to be observed with Mrs. Al James in charge of arrangements. Mrs. James is cele brating her 25lh year In P.E.O. this month and was instrumental in organiz ing chapter BQ. Members of Chapter AB will gather at the home of Mrs. Gordon Kruegcr, Monday evening, at 7:45 o'clock, Miss Etta White as co-hostcss. Chapter BC is meeting on Tuesday evening, Mrs. Kinlcy K. Adams and Mrs. D. A. Emerson to entertain the group at the home of Mrs. Adams at 7:30 o'clock. Chapter CB is to meet next Thursday evening at 7:30 o'clock, Mrs. Chester Zumwalt and Mrs. R. L. Porter to en tertain the group at the Zumwalt home, 845 Hood street. Honoring her daughter, Miss Gloria Ann McClintock, and fiance, Glen Hoi den, Mrs. Edna M. Olson will entertain at a buffet supper next Friday evening at her home, the event to follow the re hearsal for the Holden-McClintock wed ding. Attending the supper will be members of the wedding party and the families of the couple. Miss McClintock and Mr. Holdcn are to be married the evening of Saturday, April 28, at the First Con gregational church. Ander son, the luncheon to be at 1 o'clock fol lowed by the program. The Rev. and Mrs. George H. Swift leave thli week-end for San Francisco. The Rev. Mr. Swift will attend a four day conference of church people there, the Rt. Rev. Robert C. Mortimer, bishop of Exeter, England, to conduct a course. While In the Bay city the Swifts will visit their daughter. Waverly Parly Wavcrly club is planning an informal sports dance for next Friday evening, April 27, at Izaak Walton club house, dancing starting al 9:30 o'clock with Glenn Woodry's orchestra playing. A snack bar is to be set up for the evening. On the committee are Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Fravcl, Mr. and Mrs. James Arm priest, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney A. Boise, Mr. and Mrs. Hillary Etzel, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Krucger. Town Club Event The Town club's formal dinner dance is to be next Saturday, April 28, at 9 o'clock in the Senator hotel. Mrs. Lewis D. Griffith Is to return from Redmond this week-end following a few days visit at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Copenhaver. An event for the legislative folk next week will be the "Timber Party" to be given Monday evening by all the sena tors and representatives in the fourth congressional district, including counties In southwestern Oregon. The supper will be at the American Legion club, start ing at 6:30 o'clock, and special entertain ment and dancing are planned for the evening. at 9 o'clock. A snack bar is planned for the evening. Dance in May Next dance for the Carousel club is announced for Saturday, May 5. Oregon Stale college Mothers club will meet at the home of Mrs. W. G. Burris Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Hostess to her bridge club next Thurs day evening will be Mrs. Stuart Mc Elhinny, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Chad wick are leaving in early May on an interesting trip to the Hawaiian islands. They will leave here May 2 for Coos Bay to join Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Compton, the two couples to go to San Francisco together. On May 4. the four will sail on the Lurline. The men will attend a hotel conference for hotel people from the Pacific coast in Honolulu, between 150 and 200 to go from, the coast sections for the meeting. The Chadwicks will be gone a month. Hostess to her bridge club for supper and evening of cards on Tuesday will be Mrs. Edgar T. Fierce. Arriving Sunday by plane from the midwest are Mrs. John A. Miller and little son, Tommy, who are to spend three weeks here as guests of Mrs. Miller's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Moxlcy. The Millers have been living at Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. Miller and son are out west while Mr. Miller is taking a special course it Detroit at Willamette A1 PRIL luncheon meeting for the Women of Rotary is arranged for Monday at 1 p.m. in the Golden Pheasant. Dan Moses, Portland, who edited an army newspaper in the Middle East dur ing the war and later was with the Allied Military government in Germany, is to be guest speaker. Mr.. Moses is a grad uate of Willamette university. Also featuring the program for the Monday meeting will be reports from the recent district meeting for Rotary members and their wives at Eugene, Mrs. Ivan Stewart and Mrs. L. O. Arens to give the reports. , Mrs. J. William Hawkins and three lit tle daughters arrived Friday evening from Fairfield, Calif., to spend several days as guests of Mrs. Hawkins' brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Stacey. Alpha Epsilon chapter, Beta Sigma Phi, is to meet at the home of Mrs. El don Lindhorst, 1260 North 21st, Thurs day at 8 p.m. The program, "Art of Thinking," is under the direction of Mrs. Ralph Atwood and Miss Helen Voorhees. Table Show Due Salem citizens are advised right now to reserve some time either May 1 or 2 to view the Salem Garden club's table show to be staged those two days at the Izaak Walton league club house. Certainly it is an ambitious project and will be one of the most spectacular and colorful events of its type ever presented here. There will be 24 wedding anniversary tables, each set with the colors and flowers appropriate to the occasion. Twelve birthday tables will be ar ranged, each to be set with a satin cloth matching the month's birthstone and the flowers of the month. In addition, there will be nine holi day table themes patriotic, Valentine. Easter, St. Patrick's, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. General types of tables will feature birthdays, breakfasts, luncheons, ban quets, formal dinners, picnics, showers, bon voyage occasions, etc. Then there will be a series of "colored tables," carrying out color themes, blue, green, lavender, yellow, rose, etc. Other features will include a May basket tree and other specialties. Mrs. Walter E. Martin and Mrs. Bryan Goodenough are co-chairmen for the event Mrs. Ben Maxwell is club presi dent. Hundreds of ribbon bows, colored containers and other articles needed are being made by Mrs. Maxwell and other club members to make all the settings authentic in color and theme. Hours for the show will be 2 until p.m. each day, May 1 and 3. An ad mission charge is being asked.
