Seeing Husband Off Is Old Stuff to Mrs. Ike Denver, Dec. 21 (Pi Mamie Doud Eisenhower has had lots of experience 34 years of it in seeing her husband off to the wars. But at Denver yesterday, the wife of the famous General Dwight Eisenhower confessed ithat she's not much different than any other wife when it comes to saying goodbye. , ' Said Mrs. Eisenhower, "We're all human . . . naturally there will be tears." And while he's away, she probably will avoid newsreels because, "the only thing that breaks me up is seeing Ike walk across the screen." Mrs. Eisenhower said she hopes to accompany the general on his tour of Atlantic Fact countries. If she doesn't, she may wait for him at their newly purchased 185-acre dairy farm near Gettysburg, Pa. The couple is visiting her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sheldon Doud. The board awarded its. selec tion of top actress of the year to the picture's star, Gloria Swanson. Young Burglars' Case Dallas Two youths who waived grand jury indictment and pleaded guilty to charges of robbery not in a dwelling were certified to the state parole board for pre-sentence Investi gation by Judge Arlie G. Walker in Polk county circuit court Tuesday, They are Wesley John Linck, 20, and Etienne L. Watkins, 21, who admitted participation in the burglary of the Farmers Un ion Co-op. Oil association at Derry about a month ago. A 17-year-old youth who was also implicated in the burglary had a hearing in juvenile court of Judge C. F. (Jack) Hayes and was placed on probation for two years. The trio admitted the bur glary when they were arrested recently by Joe Shobe, Clacka mas county deputy sheriff, in connection with another offense.
