12 Capital Journal, Salem, Ore., Thursday, Sept. 21, 1950 Junior Bridge Players Vie Plan for a weekly junior bridge tournament for Inexperi enced duplicate player are be ing formulated by the Salem Elks Bridge club, local unit of the American Contract Bridge league. . The tournament! may be held either Monday or Wednesday evening, starting the first week of October. The Salem group already has scheduled one Junior session during the sectional tournament, October 28 and 29, when dupli cate experts from all over the northwest will compete in cham plonship play. With nearly 70 members, the local club already has 30 master players and five national masters. Scoring nearly 87 percent. Mrs. Dewey Howell and Mrs. Leone Taylor were high at the 23-team tournament this week. Others in order were Mrs. Stu art Thede and Walter M. Cline, Mrs. Ward Graham and Ellis H. Jones, Mrs. John S.
