Zonta Club Tea Afternoon, Evening Event; To Aid Hospital Project One of the coming week's larger social gatherings will be the annual silver tea given by the Salem Zonta club, women's service group, the affair to be Wednesday afternoon and evening at the South High street residence of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel J. Fry. Calling hours are between 3 and 0 o'clock in the afternoon and between 7 and o'clock in the evening. . The interested public is Invited and Invitations have been sent to many other civic and service groups of the city bid ding their memberships. . The tea Is a benefit for the Helen Vockev Memorial fund for the club's t project for -the new Salem General hos- -ii-i Th. 1nt Miss Helen Yockey. whose memory the fund honors, was a charter member and past president of the Salem . club of Zonta International. Dance June 2 Planned for Friday evening, June 2, Is the dance to be sponsored by the Sa lem Women's Army and Navy League and the local Reserve Officers' associa tion. Kline, who is the director of the sorority. Mrs. William Sims will give a short talk on the history of Mother's Day. Music will be played during the breakfast. Sweetpea nosegays will be presented to the mothers and guests. The room will be decorated with lavender lilacs and pink tulips. Pink lace ribbon and sprays of ivy will adorn the tables, with clusters of sweetpea nosegays at the corners.
