BULtd cocrunmuriicsilon, I p m 106 To Place Classified Ads Phone 2-2406 Four Corners Man Burned In Freak Frying Pan Mishap Four Corners An unusual accident occurred on Friday morn ing when Jordan Gaskini, 3820 La Branche avenue, was seriously burned while preparing his breakfast when the grease in the frying pan became too hot and burst into flames. Ga.ikins tried to throw the burning grease and pan out of doors to prevent the house catching fire. The draft from the door carried the flames back on to him burning both hands, the right side of his face and singed his hair and eyebrows. Mr. Gaskins was Just recovering from an eye injury received a few days ago when a rose bush limb stuck him in the right eye necessitating medical treatment. He is employed by the state as fireman at the Fairview home. Many social events highlighted the socety calendar over the week-end. On Thursday Mrs. Gerald H. Wing was hostess at a one o'clock dessert bridge luncheon at her home. Places were laid for two tables. On Friday at one o'clock Mrs. Wing again , entertained at bridge with a dessert luncheon with covers for two tables. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Tucker greeted a group of friends in their home on East State street for pinochle and late refreshments.
