Stocks Decline
In Price Tangle
New York, Nov. 10 (;P) Price
lines were thoroughly tangled in
the stock market today.
The general tendency seemed
to be downward but enough buy
ing interest developed in select
ed issues to prevent a decisive
decline.
Most price changes were frac
tional. In a few cases they
amounted to around 2 points or
more.
Turnover hit a rate approach
ing 1,200,000 shares for the full
session.
Traders more or less ignored
labor developments.
Golds were hard hit. with
Homes take off around 3 points
at one time and Mclntyre Porcu
pine down 2. Fractionally lower
were Alaska Juneau and Dome.
High-preced Amerada Petro
leum dived around 5 points and
Coca-Cola lost almost 2.
Non-ferrous Metal Stocks im
proved, along with Radio & Tel
evision.
Also higher most of the time
were Admiral Corp., Philco,
American Telephone, North
American Co., Anaconda Cop
per, American Woolen, Santa
Fe, and Warner Bros.
Balky spots included Standard
Oil (NJ), Chrysler, Montgom
ery Ward, U.S. Smelting, Dow
Chemical, Westinghouse Elec
tric, and U.S. Gypsum.
