Grains Move Up
For Dav's Trade
Chicago, Oct. 6 WP Grains
moved steadily upward on the
board of trade today. Commis
sion houses did the bulk of the
buying, but there also was some
from commercial interests.
Wet weather over almost all
the mid-west was one factor in
the strength. Another reason
was a boost in the government's
buying price for cash wheat.
Wheat closed Vt-lVt higher,
December S2.13'4-:14, corn was
ss-?4 higher, December $1.19 'i
a, oats were unchanged to 3s
higher, December 67 Vs. rye was
2'A-34 higher, December $1.48,
soybeans were IV. to 2 cents
higher, November $2.33 k-
2.33, and lard was S to 12 cents
a hundred pounds higher, Octo
ber $11.25.

senate agriculture committee to

range farm measure originally
introduced by Senator Anderson

The senate sent the Anderson
bill back to the agriculture com
mittee Tuesday night, after Vice
President Barklcy had broken a
tie to give senate approval of
an amendment for price props
