Gains of fractions to a point or so predominated near the close. Transfers for the two hours ran to around 300,000 shares. The recently lively moving picture stocks followed a slim groove as efforts to sum up the benefits of the Anglo-American film agreement were being made. Radio company stocks enjoy ed a late -fast flurry on talk of brightening prospects for tele vision. Bonds were narrow. Grains and cotton futures climbed. All Grains Up In Day's Trade Chicago, March 13 VP) Grains spurted today in re sponse to the re-entry of the government into the cash wheat market. Prices at the start jumped as much as seven cents a bushel in May wheat. From that point, the market worked lower during a good part of the session. A rally got under way in the last 30 minutes of dealings and prices approached the day's highs. The local office of the com modity credit corporation, usu ally closed on Saturday, remain ed open today to accept offers of cash wheat. It was not ex pected that the office would an nounce purchases until Monday morning. Corn was just about as strong as wheat. Oats followed the trend of other cereals.
