Only 200 of yesterday's 850 head offering at the North Port land livestock yard were sold. Geology Talk is Slated Wednesday The Salem Geology society is presenting Lloyd Ruff of Port land as their speaker Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Collins hall on the Willamette campus. Mr. Ruff has been industrial geology instructor at the Uni versity of Oregon for eight years and now is in the United States engineering corps. His present position is head of the geology department of the United States engineers. His subject is "Western Mon tana" and will be accompanied by slides.
