Degrees were conferred upon Mrs. Harry Wilson, Mrs. Clifford Rappe and Mrs. Bernard Bum garden. Visitors were Mrs. Marie nan- sen of Salem, district president and several Salem members. From Marion auxiliary 661 of Salem were President Genevieve Olson. Mrs. Gertrude Bcal, dis trict secretary, Mrs. ivcu naw- lcy, Mrs. Gladys Harlan, Mrs. Eva Boland, Mrs. Willie Boone and Mrs. Margaret Hunt, from West Salem auxiliary, Mrs. JMea nor Miller. Mrs. Hunt acted as pianist for the evening and Mrs. Olson spoke on the work of the order, complimenting the Woodburn unit on its activities. Thanks were voted to Mrs. Wibb Chambers and her son for the donation of quilts and blan kets for Mrs. Joe Spryzer, in valid, whom the unit has been helping, and Mrs. George Reck reported the quilt made by the auxiliary had been presented to Mrs. Spryzer and that a wheel chair, donated by Miss uora Dooper, had been presented to her. After the meeting refresh ments were served by the aux iliary to 50 post and auxiliary members and out-of-town guests. . The American War Mothers held a no-host luncheon Tues day. Sewing Meeting Is Planned Woodburn The regular monthly meeting of the Past Matrons' club of Evergreen chapter No. 41, Order of the Eastern Star, was held at the Masonic parlors Wednesday eve ning with Mrs. Minnie Olson presiding. Plans were made to sew for the Shrine hospital at the next meeting, March 19, and tea tow els to be hemmed and marked were donated by Mrs. Kather- ine Moeding and Mrs. Martha Reiling. Members are asked to bring needles, thread and thim bles. After the meeting a no host lunch will be served with Mrs. Rose Gibbens in charge of arrangements.
