of Grant Chipps of Yamhill, son
of Mrs. Slys'a Chipps, also of
Yamhill on Saturday, at St. Jo
seph's church.
The popular young Salem
miss attended Sacred1 Heart
academy and Marylhurst college
for two years. The bridegroom
elect is just out of the service,
having been in the navy for
two years. He is now attending
Pacific university in Forest
Grove.
The couple will exchange their
vows at a nuptial mass at 9:30
o'clock Sunday morning with
Rev. T. J. Bernards officiating.

of the program committee, Mr.

charge of the treats and Gordon
Luffman will secure the Christ
mas tree.
Refreshments were served by
Mrs. Nina Ringo and Mrs. Fred
Frentz. For the next meeting,
December 3, a no-host lunch
will be served after the meet

is this week announcing the
wedding plans of her daughter,
Miss Louise Sherfy, whose mar
riage to Vincent Callogy, son
of Mrs. Anna Collogy of Bakers
field, Calif., is to be an event
of Dec. 7. The marriage will
be solemnized at 8 o'clock in
the morning at St. Francis
church in Bauersfield.
Miss Sherfy. a Lebanon high
! school graduate, was employed
for more than three years in
the local office of Dr. David
Reid. and has for the past 18
months worked in the Pacific
Gas and Electric offices in
Bakersficld. Her fiance is a
veteran of World War III.

Lebanon Plans
For BPW Club
Lebanon Plans are being
launched this week to form a
local unit of Business and Pro
fessional Women's clubs. The
meeting designed to acquaint
prospective members with the
aims of the club, will be held
Friday at 8 o'clock at the home
of Mrs. D. F. Holmes, 12 Eaton
street.
The state president and the
state membership chairman will
be present to outline aims and
organization details. All busi
ness and professional women of
this area are invited to attend
the initial session.

Entertained
Falls City The Lark club
was entertained at the country
home of Mrs. Emma Frink re
cently. A no-host dinner was served
at noon. A short business
meeting was led by the presi
dent, Mrs. Christine Lehnert.

the marriage of their daughter,
Miss Margaret Ann Warnock, to
Eugene Pay Puckett, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Dewey Puckett of
Portland, November 2.
The ceremony was read at the
Rose C:'y Presbyterian church
in Port'and before immediate
members of the family and a
few friends. The bride wore an
aqua wool afternoon dress and
a orchid corsage. The couple
was attended by Mr. and Mrs.
Clarenos Browncll, brother and
sister-in-law of the bride.
An evening reception for a
large group of relatives and
friends . was held during the eve
ning at the home of the bride
groom's parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Puckett plan to
make their home in Portland.

Eugene Kearns, formerly of Pe

vows in Spokane October 29,

Mrs. Mollic Lacey and is a vet
