Converse of Walnut Grove, to William Claude Faulds, USN, which took place June 7 in Se attle. The bride and her parents are former West Salem resi dents, having moved east in March of 194S. The rites look place at the Methodist temple in the Univers ity district. The couple was at tended by Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jones of Omak, Wash., brother and sister-in-law. For her nuptials, the bride wore a gun-metal colored suit with white accessories and a corsage of red roses and white carnations. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Faulds of Seattle. He is now stationed at San Diego where he is a baking Instructor. Mr. and Mrs. Faulds will make San Diego their home. A wedding dinner followed ttie marriage ceremonies. Taylor and her young son Bobbie, who expect to leave in early July to join her hus band, Lt. Taylor, stationed in Frankfurt with the 97 General hospital. Mr. Hardy is a freshman at Willamette university and a member of Sigma Tau fraterni ty. The wedding date was announced at a pre-nuptial shower for Mrs. Don Fox (Ro berta Jean Yocom) which was held at the Alpha Chi Omega chapter house. The wedding will lake place al the First Congregational church with Dr. John L. Knight officiating. The couple will make their home in San Jose, Calif., where Mr. Clawson is attending San Jose State college and study ing electrical engineering. Miss Jory is a sophomore at Willamette, promineYit in stu dent activities. She was presi dent of the freshman class last year and served as representa tive for the sophomore class this past year. .'Joint Musie Limclieoii Meet At the joint meeting of the Salem Federated Music club and the Oregon Music teachers' as sociation, held al the studio of Miss Lena Belle Tartar and Miss Margaret Hogg following a luncheon at Nohlgrens, elections were held. Miss Roberta Brooks daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Brooks of Vancouver, Wash., is telling friends of her betrothal to Don ald Zehradnik, son of Mrs. E. Zehradnik of Salem. No date has been set for the wedding. The bride has made her home in Salem for three years grad uating from high school here. She is employed with the state highway commission. Her fiance attended Salem schools and was in the army air corps for three years, serving overseas for eight months. He is now with the Cap ital Electric company. Maxine Wagner Is Betrothed Miss Maxine Wagner, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Wagner, former residents of Sa lem now making their home in Fullerton, Calif., told the news of her engagement to Philip Orange, son of Mrs. Adelaide Orange of Pilot Rock at a form al banquet given members of the graduating senior class at the Alpha Chi Omega sorority house on the Willamette camp us. The traditional box of choc olates with a card inscribed with the couple's names, told the news. Miss Wagner, a senior schol ar in biology, graduates next week. A member of Alpha Chi Omega, she plans to enter lab oratory technician school in Portland next year. Her fiance is a sophomore majoring in mathematics, at tending Willamette university before the war and returning after three years naval service. He is a member of Alpha Psi Delia sorority. No date has been set for the wedding. . Writer's Club Tn Meeting- Th Salem Writers' club met Wednesday evening with Dr. Mary C. Rowland as hostess.
