Sclman of Silvcrton, and Herman Rois ter of Lacomb, son of Mrs. John While of Lebanon, was solem nized at a quiet single-ring cere mony on May 9 at Vancouver, Wash. On their return to Lebanon last week the couple were hon ored at a reception and wedding dinner at the home of the bride groom's mother. Many relatives and close friends attended the affair. Among those assisting with hostess duties were Mrs. E. E. Reynolds of Hollcy, Mrs. Claud Holman of Lebanon and Mrs. Olio Schultz of Sweet Home, all sislcrs of the bride groom; Mrs. Jesse Arehart of Crowfoot, sistcr-in-law of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Hubert Pockham of Silvcrton, sister of the bride. The bride, a navy nurse, wil' be given in marriage by her fa thcr. For her wedding she hss chosen a white afternoon dress with which she will wear a white hat and accessories. Her corsage will be of orchids. Mrs. Adrian Dickson of Cor vallis, cousin of Ensign Amor', will be her only attendant. She will wear a pastel blue after noon dress with black accessor ies and a corsage of pink roses. The bride's niece, little Sherrii Amort, who will be flower girl will wear a pink frock. Serving as best man for Lt Lanier will be Ensign Amort's brother, Merrill Amort. A reception at the Waldo Hills home of the bride's parents will follow the ceremony. Ensign Amort, now on duly a", the U.S. naval hospital at Shoe maker, Calif., has been in the navy for a year. A former stud ent at Willamette university, where she was a member of the Delta Phi sorority, she is a grad uate of the St. Vincent's school of nursing and for a lime after her graduation was on the staff of that hospital. Prior to enter ing the service she was a nurse with the student heallh service at Oregon Slate college. She ex pects soon to receive her dis charge from the navy. Lt. Lanier, a navy doctor, is a graduale of the Louisiana Slate university Medical school. Now on duty at the naval hospital a'. Shoemaker he has been in the armed forces for three years. The couple will go to the coast for a short wedding trip and then will return to Shoemaker where they will make their home until Lt. Lanier receives his dis charge from the navy, after which they will leave for Alex andria to reside. Mrs. Donald McCargar, her son Larry and her mother, Mrs. George Lawrence returned Sun day from a week's visit at The Tides in Seaside and with friends in Portland. The Royal Neighbors' sew ing club will meet Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Minnie Gregory, 7110 Thompson avenue, with a no-host luncheon at noon. Miss Melton will leave Salem the first week in June, to attend the state convention of the Ore on Music Teacher association and from there will go to Los Angeles, where she plans to establish a studio.
