Thursday Night
The First Presbyterian church
will observe its fourth annual
prc-Easter communion service
Thursday evening at 8 o'clock.
This ,r"'re, held in the ctmdle
linhtod sanctuary, where abso
lute silence is maintained, has
come to be very meaningful to
great numbers of people in the
community as well as to the
church congregation itself. The
chorus choir, under the direction
ot Virginia Ward Elliott, will
sing appropriate music. Approx
imately SO now members will be
welcomed into the church at this
time, the group meeting with
the session just prior to the
evening service. Rev. W. Irvin
Williams, pastor of the church,
will give a very short medita
tion and administer the sacra-

sented a concert of negro spir
ituals in the Woodourn high
school auditorium last week.
The quintet has presented con
certs in the northwest during
the fall and winter months and
is now making a tour of the
high schools.
