"For You a Rose," was sung by Mrs. George Gabriel, accompanied by Mrs. Oeorge Pope. A program of readings, music and songs followed. Refreshments were served. 4.W.S. Sponsor Stage Show Soon Monmouth One of the outstand ing features each year at Oregon Normal school Is the stage show sponsored by the Associated Women students. This year the show will be held on the evening of February 22 in Campbell hall, starting at 8 o'clock. In keeping with the season of the year It has been called "Rain Revue." A large black umbrella, shimmer ing cellophane rain and the pastel colors of a rainbow will provide the background for the umbrella man. Vance Smith of Independence. An other local member will be a ballet by Martha Blair of Monmouth. The men of West House are going to present a chorus girl act. Loma Bar- ham, called the nightingale of O. N. S., will sing. La Danza club will appear In a modernistic dance and the male quartet will add a note oi variety In song. Ed Miller Is master of ceremonies. These are but a few of the attractions which will be presented in "Rain Revue." The pro ceeds from the ticket sale will be used In furnishing the student room. The public Is Invited. Church Wedding Event of Tuesday Mt. Angel Miss Marguerite Per syn. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Persyn, became the bride of William Blera. son of Mr. and Mrs. John Blem at a pretty cere mony solemntled at St. Mary's Catholic church on Tuesday at 6:15 o'clock. Rev. Alcutn Helbel. OSB . officiated at the high mass and read the nuptial vows before a large number of relatives and friends. The high altar was beautifully decorated with yellow races and white candles In tall candelabra, and the sanctuary was attractively decorated wlUt large baskets of wine colored rosebuds and laurel. The processional and recessional wedding marches were played by the Rev. Plaeldus Fuerst. OS B., who also presided at the pipe organ during the mass. The St. Mary's choir sang the high man with Mrs. Clara Schroeder of Silverton Sing ing the "Ave Maria." at the offer tory, and Miss Pauline Saalfeld. "Mary at Thy Feet I'm Kneeling." after the service. Mr. Persyn gave his daughter tn Open Sal. till 9 P.M. marriage. The bride was lovely In her wedding gown of heavy while satin, styled on princess lines, long sleeves pointed at the wrist, petal shaped neckline, a Queen Euzabeth stand-up collar, and a long court tram. She wore a long lace edged tulle veil caught about her head with a tiara of seed pearls and or ange blossoms, and she carried a bridal bouquet of gardenias. Joanna Hill roses, sweet peas and freesla. Mrs. Delbert Haener. the former Madeline Persyn, was her sister's only attendant. Her gown of wine colored taffeta was made with fit ted waist, a full three tiered bouf fant skirt, rounded neckline, and short puffed sleeves. She wore a gardenia tn her hair and carried an arm bouquet of Joanna HIU roses, sweet peas and freesla. Best man for his brother was Oordon Blem. The wedding breakfast served to the bridal party followed the church ceremony, at the home of Dr. and Mrs. R. O. Appleby. At 12:30 o'clock a banquet was served at the Mt. Angel hotel with covers placed for 39 guests. A large decorated wedding cake flanked by lighted tapers and sprays of roses, freesla and sweet peas formed the centerpiece for the bride's table. A reception for members of the two families and close friends was held at the home of the bride's parents following the dinner. Following the reception the eou. Store 0 SAVE EV Salem, Oregon Liberty Club Hears President Liberty The Liberty Woman's club celebrated Its fourteenth anni versary Thursday afternoon with a tea. entertaining the Salem Heights Woman's club. The hall was beau tifully decorated with fem. daffodils and pussywillows. Mrs. Harold Peterson, of Dallas, who is president of the Federation of Women's clubs, was guest speaker and gava a very interesting talk on her recent trip to Washington, D. C. The audience also enjoyed a solo by Mrs. D. B. Kltehege of Salem and a reading by Mra. William Nel meyer, also of Salem. Charter members Introduced were Mrs. R. L. Wright of Salem and Mra. W. J. Fair of Liberty. Mrs, W. R. Dallas is also a charter member. but was unable to attend because of Illness. Each president and past president was presented a corsage. Mrs. A. A. Taylor, county presi dent, and Mrs. H. M. Skow. president of the Salem Heights club, presided at the tea table. Mrs. Mason Bishop and Mrs. L D. Walker were on the reception committee. Mrs. W. J.
