Weds Miss Epperson A beautiful wedding ceremony of Sunday afternoon in the Patton Methodist church In Portland was that at which Miss Kathryn Epper son, daughter of Mrs. Oassle Epper son, became the bride of Miles Woodworth, son of Mr and Mrs. L. M. Woodworth. The Rev. Cecil O. Harmon read the service at 4 o'clock. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, John Epperson. She wore her sister's wedding gown, fa shioned with a short train and her double-tiered veil was held in place by a coronet. She carried a shower bouquet. Mrs. T. J. Xilleen was her sister's only attendant. She wore peach net. Dwlght Miller was best man, and ushers were Tom Ktlleen, James Nutter and L. Meredith Woodworth, Jr. Organ music throughout the cer emony was played by Mrs. O. E. von Hoene. The couple greeted their friends at the rear of the church following the marriage rites. The bride attended Oregon State college and the bridegroom Is a gra duate of Willamette university. He Is affiliated with Alpha Psi Delta fraternity, and well-known In Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Woodworth will be at home to their friends in the Pembrook appartments, Portland. Miss Dorothy Pro Hostess at Party- Miss Dorothy Pro was entertained with a gay party Saturday night. The public is Invited to at tend Installation Rites Said By White Shrine Of Jerusalem Monday WILLAMETTE Shrine, No. 2, Order of the White Shrine of Je rusalem, Installed officers at an elaborate ceremony held last night at the Masonic temple. The Installation was open to the public and many prominent Salem and out-of-town folk attended. Mrs. Mona Yoder was Installed as the new worthy high priestess. Dr. W. C. Kantner presented the past jewel to Mrs. Susan Varty, the retiring worthy high priestess. Candles cast a soft glow over the lodge rooms, which were beautifully decorated with spring flowers in the pastel tones. Mrs. Delia Hayden was in charge of the decorations. Installing officers were Grace N. Babcock, worthy high priestess and Japanese Girls Sponsor Tea The girls oi the Japanese xoung People's league will give a silver tea at the home of Mrs. Melvln Johnson Saturday afternoon from 3 to b o'clock. The proceeds of the tea will go to the Japanese church fund project. Arrangements for this tea are be ing made by Hoshle Watanabe, chairman of the church fund com mittee, and Em! Yada. Many lovely Japanese articles ana curios will be on display and musi cal numbers will be presented dur ing the afternoon. Miss Lewis in Recital Tonight Miss Elizabeth Lewis, pianist, win be presented In recital this evening by Miss Frances Vlrginle Melton at the Melton piano studio in Nortn Capitol street. The program, which will start at 8 o clock, Includes .num bers by Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rubenstein, Moussorgsky and Rach maninoff. Miss Lewis Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lewis and Is well known in musical circles through out the state. The public Is Invited to attend tonight's recital. Auxiliary Delegates Meet in Mt. Angel Marion County Assembly of the American Legion auxiliary will meet at Mt. Angel Wednesday evening. A short business meeting was held, followed by a few devotional remarks by Loree Barham. LaVinla Bulrgy was In charge of the program. The group met down town after the meeting for refreshments. District Session I Held in Salem Evincing much interest In the capital and throughout the north west today and tomorrow is the twenty-second annual meeting of the Columbia River district of the W.A.B.F.M.S. and W.A.C.H.M.S. The session is being held at the Calvary- Baptist church. Mrs. H. S. Gile is serving as the head of the hospital ity committee. The first meeting was held this morning at 10 o'clock. Mrs. A. Q. Weniger of Salem gave the greeting and Mrs. Worth D. Wright gave the response. This afternoon Dr. Cath erine Mable, returned missionary from Africa, gave the main talk and later the district secretaries con ducted a seminar. The program for tonight will open at 8 o'clock with a praise service led by Mrs. Fred Tooze, Jr., of Salem Miss Janet McKey of New York will give a talk on "The World's Great est Need." Rev. A. Q. Weniger will give the benediction. Tomorrow's program will be as follows: crs at either side. Mrs. Austin Walker, as the bride's only attendant, was gowned in blue crepe with white accessories. Thomas Marsland served as best man for the bridegroom. Following the ceremony a wed ding breakfast was served at the Argo hotel, where covers were plac ed for 15. The couple left this morning for a trip north. Including Seattle and British Columbia.
