COUNTY COSTS Albany Linn county's operating costs will be $20,099.68 less next year than last year, according to esti mates included in the 1935 Linn county budget which was completed by tlie budget committee yesterday. This does not mean, however, that Linn county property owners will benefit to that extent in tax reduc tion, It was explained. If it were not for a shrink in the assessment rolls, and an expected increase in the state tax the budget committee's saving would be reflected entirely in a lighter tax burden it was stated. The county's assessed valuation was cut from $26,581,550 to $26,315,- 431, a shrinkage of $266,127 and since the state tax is expected to be ap proximately 3 percent higher the next saving to taxpayers will be only approximately $15,000.
